How we handle your details
Last updated 4 October 2026
This page explains what happens to the information you send us through this website. It is written in plain English on purpose. If anything is unclear, email contact@cwmbrandigitaltrade.co.uk.
Who we are
Cwmbran Digital Trade is run by Alex Phipps, a sole trader based in Cwmbran, South Wales. We are the “data controller” for the details you send us through this site, which means we decide how they are used and we are responsible for looking after them.
Contact: contact@cwmbrandigitaltrade.co.uk
What we collect
When you fill in a form on this site, we collect what you type in:
- Your name and your business name
- Your email address
- Your phone number, if you give it
- Your website or Facebook page address, if you give it
- The kind of business you run
- Anything you write in the message box
We don't collect anything else, and we don't use advertising or analytics cookies. The demo websites linked from Our Work have example forms that send nothing at all.
Why we collect it
We use your details only to reply to your enquiry: to send you a free homepage audit or sneak peek, answer your questions, or put together a quote. That's it.
In data protection terms, our lawful basis is legitimate interests (replying to someone who has asked us to) and, where you're asking about becoming a client, taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
We will never add you to a mailing list or send you marketing because you filled in a form. If we ever offer a newsletter, it will have its own separate, unticked box to opt in.
Who else handles it
A small number of services help us run the site. Each one only sees what it needs to do its job:
- Formspree delivers form submissions to our email inbox and keeps a copy of each submission in our Formspree account.
- Vercel hosts the website and serves its pages.
- Porkbun, our domain and email host, stores the emails we receive and send.
We don't sell your details or share them with anyone else, unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
If you don't become a client, we delete your enquiry details within 6 months of your last message to us. If you do become a client, we keep your details for as long as we work together, and for a reasonable period afterwards for accounting and legal reasons.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- Tell you what details we hold about you
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Delete your details
- Stop using your details in a particular way
Just email contact@cwmbrandigitaltrade.co.uk and we'll sort it, normally within a few days and always within a month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your details, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Cookies
This site doesn't use cookies for advertising, tracking or analytics. If that ever changes, we'll ask for your consent first and update this page.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your details, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
